Magazine King: Korean dub inventor with a psychedelic signature lo-fi sound.
Three different countries, three different styles, coming together for a single night's live show, to create the recordings behind this album. Secret Mommy took his precise electronic cut-up style, and twisted it into a fresh loop-based rock. Asuna starts with a straght-up beat and, by gradually introducing a variety of sounds, hits on a new innovation and development in his style. Magazine King stunned the audience with his self-invented cassette DJ rig and puppet-robot-drummers. And all these moments, the culmination of hours and hours work behind the scenes, are presented here for you in the form of this album.
カナダ出身のアンディ・ディクソン（Andy Dixon）によるエレクトロ・ノイズのソロプロジェクト Secret Mommy(カナダ)、古いリードオルガンと電子音によるウォーミーなドローン作品などで知られる Asuna(日本)、サイケデリックなLo-Fiスタイルが持ち味のコリアンダブの鬼才Magazine King(韓国)、国 境も音楽ジャンルも違う３人のライブとスタジオ・セッションの音源を収録した予想外のコラボレーションアルバム。Secret Mommy は、いつもの精密な音響工作に加え、繰り返されるギターのリフとボーカル を全面に押し出したロックテイストで新しい興奮を呼び、Asuna はビートを全面に押し出した導入部から 徐々に音響の中に溶け込んでいく新機軸を打ち出し、Magazine Kingは自作のカセットDJing システムと自動ドラム演奏人形を駆使してのライブパフォーマンスで聴衆を圧倒した。このCDは、一晩のライブと数時間のセッションが生んだ音が生まれる瞬 間のドキュメンタリーである。
