Doddodo is a female solo artist from Osaka, Japan. Using only a single cheap sampler she manages to create music filled with an impact and exhilaration absent in more complex, overproduced music. Her speedy, chopped up rhythms are reminiscent of Digital Hardcore but, somewhere along the line a mish-mash of sounds from sources such as anime or traditional music are thrown in the mix, along with healthy dollops of offbeat humor. And thus, a new sound is born.

"Harsh beats with samples" has all but become a genre unto itself, but her unique take on the sound makes her stand apart form her peers. You might get close with a B-grade cover band... playing hard rock using only ethnic scales... in a back street pachinko parlor....
