The Don of UK Dub, Dennis Bovell, joined Tokyo underground's most prominent free jazz band MAU to guide the creation of a new kind of jazz album. After meeting the members for the first time, Dennis proceeded to sit in with them either on bass, vocals or drums. And, in just a single day, the album was done. With pioneering female sax player Hayasaka Sachi opening the door, in strode a heavy bassline and cool, slinky percussion, only to be passed on down through deep dub processing, at the hands of a master.

And here, for the first time, dub becomes jazz and jazz becomes dub - and it could only happen in Tokyo.
